The New Yorker hotel

Nikola Tesla lived in the New Yorker Hotel from 1933 to 1943 - the last 10 years of his life. When the New Yorker first opened in 1930, it was the largest hotel in the world with 2,500 rooms, five restaurants, and ten private dinner lounges. Tesla's apartment consisted of two rooms - 3327 and 3328 - on the hotel's 33rd floor. The rooms can still be rented today and even though they look like every other room in the hotel, they are held in high demand by Tesla's fans.

Tesla died in his New Yorker apartment on January 7, 1943.
